The wind flourished red leaves in a magnificent twisting motion, circling what appeared to be a casino dealer with a cane and top hat in the Forever Fall forest. He was leaned up against a large tree at the center of a clearing, hat covering his eyes in a forcibly mysterious manner, hand resting gently on the cane. A group of Ursi slowly closed in on the man's position, draw to him by some kind of grief in his heart.
The man tossed up his cane and snatched it by the shaft, then used it to gently tilt his hat back, revealing his Amber colored eyes. Pushing off of the tree with one leg, he gave a slight twirl and drew a revolver from a holster on his belt. "How's it goin' boys?" He shouted in an arrogant manner. "Now, I know last time I was here I kinda cleaned house, but I just lost a pretty big bet, so I was lookin' for more of a low-stakes game, whaddya say?" Almost as if in response, a smaller Ursa took off, charging straight for him.
Without any hesitation, he vaulted backwards, feet planting right on the trunk of the tree, which was now shaking with the force of an Ursa, and pressed the gun firmly against the back of it's neck. With a purposeful pull of the trigger and a bang, the Grim's entire head froze to the trunk of the tree, smoke filtering out of the barrel of the gun into the shape of a Heart. "Oh, I forgot to mention. We're playing with a 'cold deck' this time. You should have cut!" He grinned, firing three more bullets to meet the pair of Ursa charging him, leaving the three remaining card suits hazing the air around him.
Unfortunately the head on shots weren't as effective as the first one, and the monsters were soon upon him, striking with a flurry of claws and fangs. The card shark danced in between their sluggish arms, literally moving with rhythm and tapping his cane as though he had a song stuck in his head. Once he worked his way in between the two, he pressed the gun against the larger one's chest and fired. A white glyph appeared behind it, flaunting a beautiful snowflake. "Pick a card!"

"Eight of Hearts!" He exclaimed, as a flaming playing card pierced the Ursa's body and bounced off the glyph into the other Ursa's forehead, leaving it a burning mass. "Man, two folds right after the flop? I know I said low stakes, but at least give me a showdown." More Grim charged while he continued his taunt, meeting agile and mocking evasion paired with precise jabs of the cane. The Ursi had been deterred, but not defeated. A final one made the error of putting all of it's strength into a single lunge, and was deftly punished after landing on it's stomach with a powerful stab in the spine.
The well dressed man rolled off of the Ursa's back and slashed at the air, expanding the cane into a whip, studded with Ice Dust crystals. He motioned with unnecessary grandeur, before razing the last few Ursi with the whip and closed the space between them. He retracted the whip back into it's cane form and finished off the Ursi with individual bullets for all three of them.
After a pause, he dusted himself off and pushed his hat up with the barrel of his pistol. A shadow lingered over him, and he immediately leaned backwards, holding himself up with his cane, and crossed one leg over the other. "Who dealt you back in?" He joked at the now thawed Ursa. It raised an arm before the man pulled back the flint of his gun and fired, leaving behind a heart-shaped smoke cloud and a completely frozen Ursa.
Not very content with his 'game', the silver-haired man began to walk away from the six corpses, which were now fading into the wind, before a loud roar stopped him in his tracks. He slowly turned to meet a much larger and intimidating Ursa that had emerged from the treeline.
"All in, huh? I guess that's more my style." Now, calmly awaiting it's charge, the man rested on his cane, until the beast was a few feet away, and somersaulted backwards. Though he tried to evade a few more hits, the Grimm eventually caught up to him, and threw him a few feet.
"That's what I get for playin' dark, huh?" He groaned, rising and preparing for another charge. On this time, he tumbled to the side and struck the ground with his cane, freezing the Ursa's foot to it. It moved to break the ice, but was only met with more mini glaciers, freezing its limbs to the ground. It managed to bat its oppressor away with it's last hand, launching him back towards the tree, which he deftly lassoed onto with his whip. Now crouching on a tree limb, he pulled back the flint on his revolver, and it's cylinder uniformly unfolded into a magazine and the barrel expanded, forming a strange looking rifle. He lined up the sights with a glyph in front of the Ursa, and then created an entire field of glyphs around the monster.
"Sorry, but I was playing with a pocket Ace. Should have asked to run it twice." He fired the gun, closing his eyes in excitement.

A card flew from the barrel, broadcasting a large, single Club design. It struck the glyph and bounced straight into the Ursa, and pushed through it, then struck a glyph behind it, ricocheting back into the monster. The bullet repeated the process until it struck straight through the Ursa into the ground and erupted in a massive explosion, completely erasing the Ursa and anything in twenty feet from it.
A few moments passed and Ace stood there gaping at his accomplishment. "Did seriously NO ONE see that?!" He shouted, moving to hang from the tree by his legs. "That was easily the coolest thing I've done since what happened at Sapph's party!" There was a moan of defeat, and the overly disappointed boy let himself fall from his tree and caught himself before making sure he had no dirt on his clothes. He started walking off, to leave the forest, reloading and firing a bullet into a very crippled but still living Ursa. No more words, only self-pity.
